Final draft (Educational system)
Education is universally recognized as a fundamental building block for human development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty. Education is key to the development of individuals and society—improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. our educational system is highly centralized, and is divided into basic education, which comprises primary stage and preparatory stage, secondary education and post-secondary education.
It is nothing new to say that educational systems in the Arab World suffer serious ills and problems, and that the state of education in Egypt is precisely what drove Egyptian society to the state of affairs it is suffering from today. one of the Egyptian educational system is that curriculum that based mostly on rote, does not give students practical skills, leaving them unprepared for college and hindering their transition to the workplace.Another educational problem is
the Infrastructure, there are crowded classrooms, bad buildings and a lack of good libraries or office space for teachers. More over, there is not enough
equipment and facilities like computers and science labs.another problem is the lack of interest and care that is exhibited from both the students and teachers alike, Most students in Egypt rely on private lessons and tutors to get their education instead of their school teachers. This results in minimal school attendance.Another problem is the teacher,Although the teacher is the backbone and the most important element [n the educational process, Here in Egypt the situation is completely different as teachers are not qualified, they often starting from scratch also they use impractical methodologies that do not draw the students eyes.
There are many ways to reform our educational system, the first is educational philosophy, the second is educational material or curricula, and the third is the teacher.the educational system should aim at forming citizens who believe that science and technology are capable of creating better living standard. Also,to improve the curricula,it should be more relevant and more scientific with emphasis on experimentation and critical thinking instead of learning by rote and memory tests. Moreover, the ministry of education should offer training courses to improve the level of teachers.the teacher should make transition from from the current educational system into one based on free thinking, questioning, debate, research and critical thinking, he should use teaching aids to make the lessons easy to encourage students to study.
Finally,We all agree that educational reform is the key to Egypt's salvation and it is the only solution to the problems we are facing in the political, economic, cultural and social fields, as well as the only thing that will help us to understand the realities of the age and keep us in touch with the world around us.So,We should put our hands in the hands of the government to reform the educational system.
